I have started ./configure then i get the messages that I need a different framework package, now I've downloaded the kdemultimedia-3.1-4.src.rpm in addition to my KDE 2.2. But how can I install the files called rpm in the end. ( I am a newbie )
And finally how can I start the programm after I did "make" and "make install" I'm looking forward to your answers Denis |

I'd suggest that you download the actual rpm and not the source rpm. Building source rpms is well documented via google, but in my experience rpm (the program) changes so often that it is a nightmare trying to do it.
Make your life easy and use the binary rpms. Also I notice you have a version mismatch with your src rpm, you need to use the same versions of software AND only use rpms that are for your distribution! To run amarok after it is installed type amarok. This is mentioned in a message after installation so you can't go wrong! Enjoy amaroK.. |

Now I have the rigth version and I get that the programm has been sucessfully installed....and that I have to type in "amarok"
But then I get "root@denis:/home/denis/Programme/amarok-1.0.1# amarok bash: amarok: command not found" I don't know what to do now ?! |

Most likely you didn't install amaroK correctly. It has probably been put in /usr/local/bin which is probably not in your path. If you run /usr/local/bin/amarok you'll get a dialog that explains what you need to do.
Otherwise, the README and INSTALL files have detailed installation instructions. Did you read them? Hint: $ ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` |
