amarok versus network

Thu Jul 08, 2004 1:36 am
I am using Mandrake 10.0 and I just installed amarok 1.0.1. I am somewhat a newbie and it was quite difficult. The last error I had was about not finding libtag in the usr/lib/ folder, so, I copied the files from /usr/local/lib into the correct folder and finally the program installed. The problem is that somehow, my ethernet connection is no longer available. Does anyone know how this is possible or what steps I should take to fix it?

I even removed the card from the computer and rebooted. I then reinstalled the card. Mandrake sees the card, but it can not start eth0 upon boot up.

HELP... Thanks,

I figured it out. Thanks anyway.

I checked every setting I could find. Everything seemed to work hardware wise, rebooting was no help. I finally restarted the network service manually from the command line and for some reason, that worked.
