I downloaded the source code and ran configure. I got a warning that gstremaer wasn't installed, so I downloaded all the relevant gstreamer 0.8 packages from a mandrake 10 cooker mirror.
In order to install it, I had to upgrade my compiler from gcc 3.3 to 3.4.1 With gstreamer finished I went back to re-run configure, but this time it failed because of the new compiler. I'm basically screwed now, as I won't be able to compile anything without a working gcc. Can someone advise me on how to fix the problem or revert to the previous gcc version? The attached config.log was made when I tried to compile after updating gcc.
