Hi all,

I have 2 playback problems with amarok:

1) Sound quality is worse than the one of comparable applications (xmms, juk). Volume is lower and basses are weaker. Of course I could use a mixer to adjust but I would prefer not having to adjust sound just for one application.
2) Randamly I hear very loud beeps that make it almost impossible to listen to music. This also occurs within other applications.

I am running KDE 3.2.3 on SuSE 9.2 and use a Soundblaster card.

I tried loading the latest knoppix on DVD to try out linux and particularly to look at media players, I noticed that my 128 bit mp3s sounded a whole lot better in xmms than in amarok, any good reason or fix out there?
