Try to update TagLib to the latest version.

I've got taglib-1.2 installed, but ogg-files still have no length. Rhythmbox, juk and xmms all don't have this problem

jurrie - are you on amd64?

Because I think we're looking at an amd64 bug here. I've put some debug-statements in the code, and taglib reports the song-length as 0, therefore it's not amarok's fault.
I'll have a look at taglib shortly. Make sure you are using version 1.2 of taglib

hmm, after the first reply i didn't really check back on this topic, but if you happen to check back, Benjamin: I am indeed running 64-bit. I did upgrade to taglib 1.3 though.
