problems with ogg-files

Sat Sep 04, 2004 3:04 am
Hi,

I'm having problems with amaroK 1.1-beta1.

problem 1
=======
I cannot play any ogg files. GStreamer engine is in use.

ERRORS: :mad:

statusbar: Some URLs could not be loaded.

console: QThread object destroyed while thread is still running.

problem 2
=======

I cannot select or even see any option for XINE audio engine.

What packages I need to install? I'm using Debian.

Thanks!

I'm using 1.1-beta2 now. I can play ogg-files =) But I still
cannot see or select xine audioengine. Anyway, amaroK 1.1-beta2
is the best audio player available for KDE.

Congratulations!

I have the same problem:

In console: QThread object destroyed while thread is still running.

On statusbar: Some URLs could not be loaded.

However, those are *.mp3 I can't open. I could open them earlier, with 1.1beta1. Then something got b0rked and I can't. I installed 1.1beta2 but I still get that error. I tried erasing amarokrc and the amarok directory in share/apps but that didn't help either. Anybody?

xine engine is only built if you have xine development headers installed
