Hello,
Ive seen a few other posts with this problem(also others on #amarok) but is there any real fix/solution for it? The gstreamer engine will just not work.(nor will xine but one thing at a time ![]() Thanks. (haveing this problem on all builds of amarok, currently using beta2 with the latest version of gstreamer and plugins and running mandrake 10) |

I've mentioned it before and will repeat here: In current CVS, gst-engine is broken, due to a code redesign. Use xine-engine instead. In beta1 gst still works ok. If you have a general problem with your GStreamer installation, read the amaroK FAQ, the GStreamer FAQ, and go to #gstreamer on freenode.

thanks very much for the help. i was experiancing this problem with all versions of amaok but it must be gst installation probs. it seems to install fine but il mess around with it some more..

I am also having this problem with 1.1 beta 2.
I know its not my gstreamer setup, as 1.0 works fine. Any ideas ? Caveman |

I just installed all the xine engine stuff and that works fine.
So it looks like there might be some sort of issue with gstreamer in the program. Caveman |
