I know this problem was befor in this forum, but the solution was to upgrad on the latest cvs version. Unfortunately I have the problem in the 1.1 version that under "Tracks on this album" I have sometimes more than 5 times the same track listed. Is there a way to reset the context database?

rm $KDEHOME/share/apps/amarok/collection.db. Restart.

I also have the problem with double instances of the songs under the "Track of this album". The "[code:1]rm $KDEHOME/share/apps/amarok/collection.db[/code:1]. Restart." trick did not help. In fact, removing everything relating to amoraK in /opt/kde/... as well as in $HOME/.kde/..., re-compiling and re-installing did not help. My system is (almost) Slackware-current. I encountered the same problem in beta-2 and cvs, but not in beta-1. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem, removing collection.db did nothing.
I didn't have this problem with 1.1 beta2. Another strange thing : after deleting my .kde/amarok directory i still have cover images displayed in the context view ... Where are they stored ? thanks |

We have discovered that you will need to remove the amarokrc file to solve this problem.
It is caused by entries for directories to scan being present twice. I'll add a bug fix for this before 1.1.1 |

thanks, by me it worked
I think I see now why I got the double entries: Now In the Context menu, Amarok ask me to build a collection. When I click on "Click here to build one", I can choose the path to my music and some other funtions, but when I click on ok, it's look that nothing happen. I can't see a progressbar and amarok ask me still for building a collection. The last time, I tryed to build a collection 3 or 4 times. This time I will wait for an hour and then restart amarok, I guess so it will work. But a progressbar would be nice... P.S. I execute "rm $KDEHOME/share/apps/amarok/collection.db" as root and it worked. |

unfortunately, that haven't worked....
so I deleted the database again and started amarok in the terminal [code:1]amarok --wizard[/code:1] now, in the context menu shows something like this "Building Database" and now it's look like it would work well. That mean, until know I haven't found double entries... |
