Hi,
Is the musicbrainz tag filling function implemented yet? The button is always disabled... Thanx! |

if you had compiled amarok by yourself, look in the readme for the libraries you need for the musicbrainz feature.
Whe you use Suse, look under ftp.suse.com/pub/people/adrian/ for the need rpm packages |

Hi
I think I have got all the right libraries, all from rpm: amarok-1.1-2, libmusicbrainz-2.1.1-3, libtunepimp-0.3.0-3, amarok-arts-1.1-0.1, and some gstreamer stuff that I don't think I am using. But the "Fill-in Tags using MusicBrainz" button is greyed-out. I suppose this might be a version-incompatibility problem? The button worked OK with amarok-1.1-0.1, but that wouldn't play anything (instead the status line showed a message along the lines of "Cannot load a URL"). I got amarok-1.1-2 from ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.1/applications, but they do not have any alternative versions of musicbrainz or tunepimp there. Any suggestions? I am running Suse 9.1 with KDE 3.3.0. Amarok 1.1 is brilliant. But of course, you know that already. Steve |

I too have all the dependencies installed from source. However, the tagger is unavailable for me. Seems that it used to be on older versions. Please advise as to what we must do to get this functioning. Perhaps there is a package we missed?
thanks, -myk |
