Hi, for awhile i had amarok 1 running fine so i decided to upgrade it
to 1.1. I d/l an rpm an installed it, and have had problems with it crashing constantly. Here is the error message I am getting in konsole: [jason@localhost jason]$ amarok [amaroK loader] connecting to /home/jason/.kde/socket-localhost/amarok.loader_socket [amaroK loader] amaroK not running. Trying to start it.. kdecore (KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /usr/share/icons/slick/ group not valid. kdecore (KIconLoader): WARNING: Icon directory /usr/share/icons/slick/ group not valid. It will crash instantly. What can I do to correct this? I am running mandrake 10 and kde 3.2. Thanks. Jason |

Your problem is with taglib, and it looks like a binary incompatible change has happened with it. So you probably need to recompile taglib.
Phew! amaroK is not at fault! |
