Hi!
I find amarok the gratest player I could find (and I've been searching a lot) but I'm having problems with some features. First it segfaulted while building collection, but I could solve it by moving the faulty mp3's to different directory. Now, when I right-click on a mp3 in a playlist and then click on "View/Edit Meta Information" - it segfaults with this error: [code:1]QObject::connect: Cannot connect QSignal::signal(const QVariant&«») to (null)::«»(null) QObject::connect: Cannot connect QSignal::signal(const QVariant&«») to (null)::«»(null) QObject::connect: Cannot connect QSignal::signal(const QVariant&«») to (null)::«»(null) [/code:1] I'm using gentoo cvs-ebuild of amarok, but problem also occurs with 1.1.1. I'm using gcc-3.3.4 and it happens only with this gcc. If I compile amarok with gcc-3.4.2 this dialog actually shows up, but sometimes amarok hangs when I click "fetch from musicbrainz", cancel or OK (or maybe also next/prev - don't know) button. I've found on bugtrack that compiling amarok with gcc-3.3.4 solves this problem of hanging dialog, but apparently, for me, it brings another one. Any suggestions? |

Oh, may the problem be QT compiled with gcc-3.4.2?

Yes. You can't mix libraries and applications compiled with different GCC versions.

Than, please tell me what should I do - most of my system is compiled with gcc-3.4.2 so if I recompile qt with gcc-3.3.4, it will probably break other apps. Gcc-3.4.2 will become standard some day anyway, so maybe it's time to fix amarok, so that it doesn't hang on view/edit meta dialog? :-P
