first of all, a big thank to the developers. amarok is really the best player i ever had.

i tried to compile the cvs checkout, but the configure script complains about libvisual, which isn\'t found on my system with a version >= 0.2.0.
i also tried to check out libvisual from cvs, but it don\'t want to compile.

libvisual is installed in the version 0.1.7, which is the latest realease i found at sf.net.

any suggestions ?

well for current amarok cvs / beta1 you also need libvisual cvs. which compiles fine here.
better post the libvisual compile error or join #amarok. user \"synap\" might help you

well, i now got the libvisual-cvs compiled, but now i have another problem.
amarok doesn\'t compile, because it has a lots of undefined references to SDL.
libvisual uses SDL i think, but that doesn\'t appears in configure.in & co...
why ? or am i totally wrong ?

libvisual does not require libvisual

but having SDL installed isn\'t always a bad idea however. but that\'s unrelated to libvisual.

SDL is required for the libvisual wrapper. There\'s no configure check, maybe someone would be willing to write one?
