I can ./configue and I can make and it all seems to go well. I run the su -c \"make install\" but when I run amarok on command line I get an error dialog.I have tried a few times to make unistall and retrace all my steps. I have spent a long time trying to work it out with the forum. This is tehj error message on the dialogue:

$ cd /path/to/amarok/source-code/
$ su -c \"make uninstall\"
$ ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` && su -c \"make install\"
$ kbuildsycoca
$ amarok

all offers of assistance are well recieved.

[edit] i think i see the error of my ways.
