If anyone can help me:
Im trying to build amarok from source I run Fedora Core 3 with the xfce4 desktop manager after unpacking the source, and typing ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` it runs fine for a while and then prints checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.2) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation! My understanding is that qt is some sort of graphical development thing used heavily in kde. I was going to use yum to get it, but i already had it installed! why is it giving me this error? thanks |

you probably don\'t have the \'devel\' package for qt, some distros think its a great idea to seperate out the files needed to compile using a library, apparently their goal is to confuse folks.

But if you do not compile apps, it\'s a great save of disk space. E.g. only installing binary packages for your distribution...
BTW: If you already have the dev-packages installed, try to set the qt parameters for configure (ask ./configure --help). Marcel |
