Gaps between two tracks

Tue Jan 04, 2005 10:13 am
Hi,

I just listened to an album in which you do not want gaps between each track.
I tried several things like disabeling crossfade (insert gap: 0ms) and crossfade with 0ms.
Each of these results in a short gap between the tracks, sometimes accompanied by a crack-sound (like amaroK would release the sound device which is not true as I know - even as I dislike this behaviour).
I am using the gstreamer plugin and amarok 1.2beta2.

At last setting the crossfade periode to a very low duration (e.g. 500ms) helps a little, but it\'s still not OK.

Similar thing here, amarok pauses between two tracks and starts to play the next one at the position it should play, if there was no gap.

I had similar problems with the gstreamer-engine. The xine-engine seems to work better - that is, the beginnings of the songs are audible. I haven\'t tested yet if the gap is really 0 ms, though.
