amarok crashes on play

Sun Jan 09, 2005 6:35 pm
ok, i installed a new clean fedora core 3. I really like amarok so i downloaded the packages and compiled according to the install readme:
./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`
make
make install

i rebooted and amarok created a shortcut. I run the shortcut and everything looks fine. But when i import a song and want to play it, amarok crashes. The name of the song and stuff appear on screen like normal but dont disappear and it wont play the song. I use the default gstreamer engine.

Anyone know anything to do about this, i search the complete forum and googled my **** off.

update:

i got this out of the console:

# amarokapp
