sorry that should read \" i recieve the following error after running make using \'./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3\' on my SuSE 9.2 system:\"

You need to install jack-devel. It isn\'t on the SuSE 9.2 cds, despite claiming to be. Don\'t know about the dvd. I got a slightly older version (0.94.0-71) from the ftp tree for SuSE 9.1 & just ripped out the .la file, however 9.2 is available ftp now, so you should be able to install the whole rpm from there.

http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/S ... user-guru/
AmaroK RPMs for SUSE 9.2 available there. Current. |

I had the same shadowrm\'s problem. I installed jack-devel and make works fine (amarok 1.2 - SuSE 9.2 X86-64 - ./configure --without-xine --without-gstreamer). Jack-devel in on the DVD.
Thanks to mroz for trick and thanks a lot to all amarok\'s people I suggest to add it in the FAQ. |
