volume hotkeys

Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:17 am
Hi, I\'m trying to set my multimedia keys to control amarok, I used the Global Shortcut configuration to set the play stop prev and next actions, but when I set the volume up and volume down actions, they control the master volume, a big window shows up in the process of doing so that shows the current volume value. The same thing happens if I do it via a DCOP call, even tho when I use the execute feature in kdcop, is seems to work fine (it shows the amarok osd with the current volume). Any idea about what\'s causing this??

I use kde-3.3.0 on gentoo and installed amarok via a custom cvs ebuild found on these forums. My soundcard is an integrated via, and kmix shows the master, pcm and various chanels, all that works correctly. I\'m using the gstreamer engine.

As allways, great app, I\'m really enjoing the append suggestions feature.

Please define big window? Do you not mean the osd?
