Doesn't build the collection with mysql database

Amarok 1.2-beta3

I have compiled amarok with mysql support and it does not build the collection because of missing tables.

When it build the collection, amarok does not find the temp tables (artist_temp, album_temp, etc...).
I had to create the temp tables myself in order to build the collection.
When the collection is ready, amarok destroy the temp tables. So the next time you scan your collection to add new files, amarok destroy again the collection.

Hi,

is it a fresh install or an update?
Could you please try to move away the files
$HOME/.kde/share/apps/amarok
$HOME/.kde/share/config/amarokrc

and report if this helps?

I had already removed the configuration files from amarok when i posted here.

I have written a little script to create the temp table. I run it before doing an update of the collection and there no problem.

It\'s a fresh installation. I am on Slackware 10, i have removed the previous package version of amarok before compiling and installing the new version.

I\'m having the same (I think) problem... can you make your MySQL script available (post, ftp, whatever).

Thanks.

Skip that - it was crashing in another thread at a bad spot. I can\'t import too many playlists at one time
because of the thread problem (NetBSD 2.0 just got native pthread and it doesn\'t always play nice with qt3).
But after clearing out the half baked database records, I can build a collection.

Other than that most everything is working - amaroK is \"Way Cool\" (tm).

Thanks much. - Scott

If you could bugzilla this, we\'ll get it fixed. Our MySQL guy is hardly ever around.

Hi,

strange, I never had this.

What MySQL version do you use?
Can you run amarok from console and look out for any MySQL error messages?
Can you take a look into the mysql.log (maybe you have to activate it first) and check if there are any \"CREATE TEMPORARY\" queries?

Regards,
Andreas
