Amarok crashes when playing a playlist with crossfading on. It generally plays 1-3 songs, then it crashes. I had to configure it --without-arts because otherwise it would give me errors during the compile, and --without-gstreamer because i wasn\'t able to install gstreamer.
It works perfectly fine if played with \'gap\' instead of \'crossfading\'.

I have a similar problem. It looks like xine engine does not support crossfading. Maybe because it involves using audio device by two processes simultaneously, when one song is finishing and next one is starting?

Yes, exactly. Setup dmix or get a better sound card.
