Hello
I need to know which packages/files are needed by amarok to work well with
audioscrobbler plugin. Not so long time ago i used amarok without any problems,
but unfortunatelly i was forced to uninstall many packet related with
gstreamer and gnome. When i install amarok again (from sources,
http://www.gkmweb.com/amarok and distro package) i notice that scrobbler
pluggin do not send any data. I ran amarok from the console and i wasnt
very suprised - \"handshake dialog\" didnt appear even for one time. Only in
amarok window i can see for one second information
\"failed submit XYZ, ## in quenque\".

there is no any clear error in console, every time after run amarok it
write couple times:
\"stream == 0! what does that mean?!\"

im find only one msg that could (???) be information about some error:
\'xscreensaver: CURENT_HOUR unrecognised ClientMessage \"_NET_CURRENT_DESKTOP_\" received\'
but because \'xscreensaver\' word im really doubt in it....

How can i find some more information? Its crazy! For now GUI give more
information than console....
Btw. im using Mandrake 10

if it\'s enabled in amarok\'s config dialog and you entered a valid username / password, then it logs in to audioscrobbler at startup. works fine, except that audioscrobbler is currently offline for 50% of the time.

Amarok seems to be very enigmatic in error raporting

no, it is just that scrobbler doodes cant handle the load.
new server is coming january 30th, as they speak. until then, you might experience a delay of 7-10 days in your stats.
whatever, amarok will distribute your stats as soon as the srobbler server is online.
i can pretty much assure this, because my stats have been updated just today.
