So, I\'m trying to get Amarok to support both MusePack and FLAC at the same time. I went about trying to make this happen by installing Gstreamer plugins 0.8.7. Is that the wrong route to take? Before, I had Gstreamer-Flac installed, and I had FLAC working, but right now, I have neither FLAC or Musepack working.
Any thougths? On a longshot, anyone know about getting Gstreamer to work with my VQF files? Heck, on a longer shot, how about WMA\'s? Thanks! -Jake |

Just install all the gstreamer plugins.
I don\'t know what a VQF file is. Xine-lib can certainly play .wma files. It might play some of those other formats. Some distributions like to make things difficult by splitting up xine-lib as well, you might have to get some plugins with it as well.

So Gstreamer Plugins is an app that allows you to install plugins into Gstreamer? Where would I find the Gstreamer Plugins? (yes, I did google before asking, but I got to the Gstreamer Plugins 0.8.7 homepage, where I didn\'t find any individual plugins)
Thanks! -Jake Nevermind! Re-googling made sense of it all. Thanks for your help! -Jake Post edited by: faddat, at: 2005/01/20 07:49 |

I\'m still googling to see what this Gstreamer is all about, but I just wanted to know in advance: did you get to play your VQF files?
Thanks! |
