Installating maroK

Tue Jan 25, 2005 8:24 pm
[b]Help please
When trying to install on Lindows it fails with lib qt-mt cannot be found despite having libqt-mt.so.3.2 and 3.2.1 present.
And when attempting installation on Fedora 2 or Mepis it fails with X icludes on found.
I have looked through the forums and found that XFree-devel and libz are required,
could you help me by telling me where to find these files and what filenames to look for .
Help would be much appreciated

These are not files but whole packages containing the C header files (and some more stuff) needed to compile applications that want to use these libraries.
Normally, these packages have the same name as the library packages themselves but with a appended -devel (e.g. Fedora) or -dev.
You should be able somehow to search through the packages of your distribution to find them.

But before you start doing this you should consider to use prepacked binary packages probably available for your distribution somewhere (maybe search the internet).
