Hi,

I\'ve a strange problem:
when I startup amaroK (CVS ~2005-01-21) I get an error message that xinelib (1.0-rc8) failed to initialize and that I can\'t play any MP3. But I can play MP3 without problems!
But then, when I try to add new songs to my playlist, they aren\'t added!

I have two PCs all running amaroK CVS and xine-lib 1.0-rc8. One has the problem above, the other doesn\'t.

Any ideas?

try to update to xine 1.0... seems there were still some problems with rc8.

yeah, will upgrade to 1.0final when it\'s in Gentoo stable.
I\'m just wondering why it\'s working on one machine but not on the other...

...or you could update now and to see if thats really the problem or not. I\'m running gentoo stable, but I always try to get the newest in regards to xine-lib and mplayer.
