com locale?

Thu Jan 27, 2005 12:42 am
Hello all,

Using amaroK on the 3.4 beta 1 build of KDE. It appears that the amazon query is using \"com\" as locale -- does anyone know where this is coming from? Here\'s a sample query:

http://xml.amazon.com/onca/xml3?t=webse ... ge=1&f=xml

Obviously this doesn\'t work with amazon.

Thanks,

Posting resolution ..

Seems that amarokconfig.cpp contains the default setting for \"AmazonLocale\", which is (for reasons unknown to me...) \"com\".

I solved the problem by going into the cover manager, selecting a different locale (\"International\" was selected by default), then re-selecting \"International\".

Don\'t know why \"com\" is used when default amazon locale is \"International / us\" .. should probably default to \"us\"... or .. better yet .. get the locale from KDE.

Your probably using one of the older betas, this bug was related to the transition from the \'com\' locale to the correctly named \'us\' locale. I remember when a line was added to amaroK to force \'com\' locales to \'us\', so that has to be why.

Removing your amarokrc also would\'ve fixed it.
