Ive been having the following problem for a few days now. I can\'t play ogg files with arts anymore, amarok shows the following error:

amarok: ERROR: [ArtsEngine::connectTimeout()] Cannot initialize PlayObject! Skipping this track.

Other applications using arts cant play oggs too, noatun goes crazy.
Running gentoo, arts is compiled with +oggvorbis.

I tried switching to gstreamer but i cant get that to work too, i get:

(process:8807): GStreamer-WARNING **: element thread8 claimed state-change success,but state didn\'t change to PLAYING. State is PAUSED (NONE_PENDING pending), fix the element

(i ran gst-register of course)

Any ideas, besides recoding oggs to mp3s?
