huge tagcover directory

Sun Feb 20, 2005 12:04 pm
Today i got my system complaining about my home partition being full, so i opened filelight to find out what was responsible for this. Surprisingly, that was the amarok albumcovers directory (~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/albumcovers). So i took a closer look at the subdirectories, and i don\'t really understand how the album covers thing works, but in the tagcover directory, there\'s like 1500 png pictures (104Mo total), for a collection of about 150 albums (in addition to the \"large\" and \"cache\" directory ). Maybe it\'s normal, maybe not, but i just wanted to point it out. Another way to save disk space would be to use jpg pictures instead of png, i think.

What do you think ?
