Font size

I\'d like to use amaroK in my car-PC: is there a way to change the font size in the collectio/artist/album view?

And what about di left icon size (Context/Collection/Playlist/Media device/File Icons) ?

Obviously I\'ve already tried the configuration window: there are only the context, playlist and xmms-window fonts, but not the \"Author/Album view\" fonts!

Hi all,

I have the same query as the OP, so rather than start a new topic i thought id use this one.

Basically I too want to use this player in a car PC with a 7" touch screen as the input device.  The best way to navigate and manipulate the music I found was using the collections interface (one of Amarok's greatest strengths  imo).  The problem however is that it's too small (icon size, font size etc) and it makes it difficult to select items, especially clicking on the cross icon to collapse/open a tree view.  Is there a way to change the appearance for the collections view?  So far I found that you can change the playlist/OSD/play window/context sidebar, but not the the collections view.  If not, will this be considered for a future release?

Lastly, I have to add what a kick A player this is, truly a great achievement.  Thank in advance.

I am not sure, but I would assume that these font sizes are coupled to the general font sizes in KDE. Changing the default font sizes in the control center might do what you are looking for.

Nice idea, I didn't even think of that.  I forgot to mention I am running Ubuntu (Gnome).  I tried adjusting the system font sizes there but it had no effect.  Because this is a KDE optimal app. Ill try running it in a KDE session and seeing if that works.  Ill post back if it works or not.  Thanks.

If that doesn't work, the only thing I can think to do is to poke around in the source and see if you can specify it manually.

KDE control center adjusts config files in ~/.kde/ which will be honored by Amarok even if you run it in gnome (I mean, the same is true for Gnome applications that run in KDE, changing the settings in the gnome-control-center also adjusts these apps).

After running a few experiments I found that by changing the General tab Fonts in KDE (in this case I was running Kubuntu) you can actually change the font size in the collections view.  However, this changes all the font sizes throughout the system which isn't a problem in my case, so thats good.  In contrast I was unable to change the font size in Ubuntu (running gnome) as any changes I made weren't reflected in Amarok bar the application window title etc.

Thanks again for the responses.
