I was trying to update amaroK via apt on SuSE 9.2 and got a message about dependency conflict with glx. What is glx? I do not have it in the list of available software.

probably you have xorg in your sources.list. Try to downgrade to xorg-x11 6.8.1-15 (using synaptic is probably the best). The newer version (6.8.2) seems to conflict with amarok (and other apps). Also using KDE 3.4 is not a good idea (in case you wanted to install it) because of dependency on kdelibs3 < 3.3.999

Yeah, you\'re right. I had to force and nodepen install. So it works ok, but due to those conflicts I cannot use apt to install other stuff, because it wants to fix those \'broken\' installs before doing anything new. I think I\'d better downgrade amaroK to the 1.2 and wait till new version for ne xorg and 3.4 KDE. |

There are now updated amarok packages in the apt repositories (suser-guru) where the problems with xorg seems to be fixed (for kde3.3).
