Due to problems with gstreamer I returned to the amarok 1.2 stable release. Gstreamer is working fine, but my toolbar makes using amarok at least quite difficult.

This bug still exists after having recompiled the program.

Any suggestions?

did you try
rm -r ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok && rm ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc ?
