While using the Foobar2000 player in Windows, I adopted a convention of using an \'album artist\' metadata field for albums with multiple artists. (If the album is a soundtrack with a lot of artists, such as a label sampler, I would set this field to \'various artists\'. If the majority of the songs are done by one artist, then I would use that artist\'s name.)

What I liked in fb2k was the use of conditional sorting. E.g., if field A exists, sort by field A, else sort by field B.

Is there anything similar to that in Amarok? (In this case, sort by \"album artist\" if it exists, else sort by \"artist\".)
