Hi,
I\'ve been using amaroK for a while, and I\'ve always had the occasional crash like this. For some reason, it seems to have been getting more and more frequent despite updates. It just segfaults spontaneously; no warnings, no apparent reason. I\'m usually browsing the web or coding when it happens, and it just crashes after a few hours of playing. I have amaroK playing for very long times during the day, and it always crashes after extended use. I\'ve tried changing engines between Xine and GStreamer, changing kernels, and even recompiling amaroK with no CFLAGS but none of these have any effect whatsoever. What else could be causing this? Oh, and I am using the Audioscrobbler plugin, but I can\'t imagine how that could have a part in this... I did a backtrace, though I\'m not sure how useful it is as I don\'t know whether my glibc is compiled with nostrip. [url=http://imek.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/amarok-backtrace]Backtrace[url] My kernel is linux-2.6.11-gentoo-r2. The crashing first became noticeable when I was using a 2.6.11 nitro patchset, but I naturally assumed that was the cause of the problem and switched back to gentoo-dev-sources, to no avail. |
