I recently upgraded to Amarok 1.2.1 (then to 1.2.2) from Amarok 1.2.0 and now when I go to view/edit meta information of a music file, the \'Fill in tag using musicbrainz\' button is greyed out, it\'s unclickable. I am using Fedora Core 3 and tried the rpm version amarok-1.2.1-1.i386.rpm from Fedora-Extra repo.
I also tried compiling 1.2.2 from the tarball that I got from your site. No compilation problems. But still the musicbrainz button is greyed out. I had to uninstall amarok 1.2.2 and fall back on amarok 1.2.0, as I need this musicbrainz feature a lot. hmy: Can you help me solving this? I have these packages (RPMs) installed libmusicbrainz-2.1.1-0.fdr.0.3 libmusicbrainz20-2.0.2-0.0.3.kde libtunepimp-0.3.0-0.fdr.0.3 amarok-xine-1.2-0.1.3.kde amarok-1.2-0.1.3.kde amarok-gstreamer-1.2-0.1.3.kde kdemultimedia-3.3.2-1.0.3.kde (I tried this thing with different engines like arts or gstreamer, if it matters) B) Post edited by: ogetbilo, at: 2005/03/16 10:12 |

Well, I solved my problem myself.
I had to install the libtunepimp-devel package before compiling amarok. The default packages in the repos are not compiled via libtunepimp-devel installed, so they do not have musicbrainz support. The Fedora package maintainers should take this into account. |
