I installed amarok yesterday. At first it crashed right away when it started, which was because it was trying to add my mp3-files. I changed the name on the folders it was gonna check for that, and started it again. Worked. I tried to manually add an mp3-file, crash right away.
Everything seems to be set up right, altho i installed Fedora Core 3 just a couple of weeks ago, so i\'m a newbie at this.. But, when i add the song manually, or try at least, the song plays in the preview mode. So the sound engine appears to be working (gstreamer). How can I solve this? I\'m \"using\" Amarok 1.2.2-1. Can it be because I don\'t have KDE 3.4 yet? Hmm.. Now the program doesn\'t even start. I get this when I run it from the terminal;[code:1] [joakim@localhost ~]$ amarokapp QObject::connect: Cannot connect Engine::Base::«»statusText( const QString& ) to (null)::«»shortMessage( const QString& ) QObject::connect: Cannot connect Engine::Base::infoMessage( const QString& ) to(null)::longMessage( const QString& ) QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow amarokapp: symbol lookup error: amarokapp: undefined symbol: _ZN6TagLib5ID3v13Tag16setStringHandlerEPKNS0_13StringHandlerE [/code:1] |

It\'s a binary incompatiblity issue with your TagLib. The TagLib version which amaroK links to on your system is too old. Remove TagLib and install a fresh package, or build it from source.
