ogg issue after upgrading xine

Thu Mar 24, 2005 3:44 am
Hello

Well, i have serious problem here. All was ok before i go and upgraded xine. Now i cannot play ogg-files with xine Engine. When i try to add ogg-files to playlist i\'m informed that \'Some URLs were not suitable for the playlist.\'. Anyway, i am still lucky that i can play files with GStreamer Engine. What i can do to fix the xine Engine to play ogg-files again?

I have debian and the following packages installed:

amarok 1.2.1-1
amarok-arts 1.2.1-1
amarok-engines 1.2.1-1
amarok-gstreamer 1.2.1-1

xine-ui 0.99.3-1
libogg-dev 1.1.0-1
libogg0 1.1.0-1
liboggflac1 1.1.1-5
gstreamer0.8-vorbis 0.8.7-3
gstreamer0.8-mad 0.8.7-3
gstreamer0.8-misc 0.8.7-3
gstreamer0.8-oss 0.8.7-3
libgstreamer-plugins0.8-0 0.8.7-3
libgstreamer0.8-0 0.8.9-2
libvorbis-dev 1.0.1-1
libvorbis0a 1.0.1-1
libvorbisenc2 1.0.1-1

If only ogg files doesn\'t work with xine, then something must be wrong with your xine install. Don\'t see how it could be an amaroK issue. Perhaps seek help from you distribution.
