Playing .m4a files

How do I play .m4a files? Whenever I try and add them to my playlist it says \"Some URLs were not suitable for the playlist.\"
I\'m running amaroK 1.2.3 on suse 9.2
Any ideas?

It depends. What audio engine do you use currently? Its in the \'engine\' section of \'configure amarok\'.
