So you can\'t edit the tag at all? Or just musicbrainz doesn\'t work?

Sorry for my english... I\'m having the same problem, but in my case it\'s stranger. If the song I\'ve trying to tab it\'s an ogg file the musicbrainz server responds without any problem, but when it\'s a mp3 file it fails. I tried it with Juk and the problem was the same, with mp3 files I cannot connect de musicbrainz server.
This problem only occurs with ubuntu/kubunto (I haven\'t tried any more ) but in debian I can tag all the songs. I also tried using the same debian package with ubuntu and it fails too. |

You probably need to install the \"mad\" mp3 decoding library.

The problem is not reproducing the tracks... it\'s only tagging mp3 files. Despite that the libmad0 library is installed.

I am have the same trouble. (kubuntu - with all dependencies met)

I double-checked this on some other distributions. This problem only occures with Kubuntu. Maybe ist time to file a bugreport @ kubuntu?

Kubuntu 5.04 chiming in on June 1st. Same error. Has anyone resolved this?

I noticed all the distros mentioned that show problems have 64-bit versions. Are those of you who are unable to use musicbrainz by any chance using the 64-bit versions?
I ask because I have the same problem on one of three computers I have that are all running Gentoo. The x86 computers use musicbrainz with no problems at all, the amd64 computer doesn\'t do a thing. |
|
Oops, actually just figured out why I couldn\'t use musicbrainz (my own mistake in compiling tunepimp). Not a 64-bit issue, apparently.
As for how to make it work in Ubuntu... http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=29370 |
