amarok and fedora core 3 NO SOUND!!

Wed Apr 20, 2005 3:02 am
Ok so I have installed Amarok 1.2.3 ok fedora core 3. I get no sound with this program. I have tried to use both the aRts and the GStreamer engine to no avail. Also how do you get the MP3\'s to work with amarok. It says something to the effect of running \"gg:fedora mp3 kde\" ???? What is that? Also is there any plugin that will play .wma\'s And I also installed xine to see if i could use that as an engine as it works with the mp3\'s and i get sound. But that option is not in the engines area of the configuration. Also the --engine does not work as I tried to make it use xine that way. Any help would be much appreciated.

Fedora sucks and hates mp3s. Google for \'fedora mp3\' and I understand you\'ll find some answers.
