In some songs, I cannot work out which I get chinese.

yeah obviously the eastern writing in amaroK
corresponds to the songs that are shown in konqueror... |

Do you have amaroK set to re-encode the id3v1 tags into anything? (Its at the bottom of the opening panel of amaroK\'s configuration).
