Problem in amarok 1.2.3 + kubuntu

Sun Apr 24, 2005 11:23 pm
First of all: sorry for my English!
This is the story: i have experienced some troubles when i play mp3\'s with no crossfadings.. amarok \"freezes\" when it\'s time to switch song. This doesn\'t happen with crossfadings.. i have tried with packages and and to build amarok from scratch: the result is the same.

The terminal says \"fifo_audio_out: audio buffer underflow!\"

Another question.. i was wondering if in Amarok 1.3 tree the problem was solved.. so i tried to get the CVS version.. but this is what happens when i launch \"make -f Makefile.cvs\":

*** Creating acinclude.m4
*** Creating list of subdirectories
*** Creating Makefile.am
*** Creating configure.files
*** Creating configure.in
*** Creating aclocal.m4
*** Creating configure
*** Creating config.h template
*** Creating Makefile templates
amarok/src/engine/helix/helix-sp/Makefile.am:24: bad characters in variable name `libhelix-sp_la_SOURCES\'
amarok/src/engine/helix/helix-sp/Makefile.am:24: unused variable: `libhelix-sp_la_SOURCES\'
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

If you are running with the arts engine, make sure the sound buffer is set to \'one tick under maximum\' in kcontrol

apart from that, iirc, helix engine probs should be fixed with CVS

The setting of the buffer is near the maximum. I\'ll try different settings. The strange thing that in Debian (that i used until 1 week ) all was perfect! I\'ll keep you up to date...
