How on earth can I sort the playlist by artist first and title second? It\'s driving me nuts having the songs all over the place.

No-one knows? Really?

If I understand you correctly then sorting first by title (click the header) and then by artist should do the trick - where tracks have the same artist the order (ie title) should not be changed. This works for me (sorting by artist, album, track no in that order of preference)
