using ubuntu hoary, amarok 1.2.3
(20gb, i think 3g (using only the wheel as a control)
when connecting the ipod to the usb port, it is automounted to
the following directory:

/media/IPOD DE GIO/

i\'ve been able to u/l music to it using gtkpod
(and changing the relevant prefereces),
without a problem, but not with amarok.
i\'ve tried creating a symlink (with ls -s ) to
/mnt/ipod
and got an error \"cannot write track\"
also, there wasn\'t any option to change the
default mount point for the ipod at either the preferences
menus. or the various amarokrc files in the .kde/apps/amarok
config files

is there any way to make it work?

thanks in advace,
monkey

Why not change the mount point in /etc/fstab to /mnt/ipod?

the /media/ipod mount point isn\'t mentioned in the fstab file,
as it is created on-the-fly by dbus/hal (i\'m using ubuntu)
(in short - there isn\'t a /media/ipod in fstab)

/dev/hda7 /storage vfat quiet,umask=0111,dmask=0,codepage=862,iocharset=iso8859-8,rw,users 0 0

/dev/hda6 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 ro,user,noauto,iocharset=iso8859-8 0 0
