I am having a real wierd issue. :S I am running SUSE Professional 9.3 . I have partitioned my hard disk to run Windows XP and SUSE. I have some mp3 and wma files in my windows. Initially I was able to play the MP3 files from Amarok using the ARTS engine. However I wanted to play WMA files as well so I installed the XINE engine using amarok-xine-1.2.2-5.i586.rpm that comes with SUSE.
This installed the XINE engine in AMAROK. However if i select any of the MP3 or WMA files from my Windows partition which is mounted, it does not play the music. It just adds the music to the play list and does nothing. The strange thing is if i copy the same MP3 or WMA file to my SUSE partition, it plays it perfect. Any Suggestions !!!! I even tried copying the MP3 to my third partition which is a common transfer place between my Windows and SUSE (FAT32). It does not like the file to be played from there either. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. |
