I just upgraded my SuSE 9.2 Pro to KDE 3.4 and Amarok 1.2.3. The player is working fine for MP3 files but M4A files won\'t play. I\'m not talking about the taglib problem of not being able to pull them into a playlist; I can\'t even get them to play by using the file finder. I saw on a previous thread that gstreamer-faad and gstreamer-quicktime are need for M4A but I can\'t find versions of these files anywhere for SuSE 9.2. Any ideas?
Thanks, Mike |

Here\'s a list of the RPMs I installed to get Amarok to play M4A/MP4 files. These are the ones specific to my machine (SuSE 9.2, i686), but the files should all be available on rpm.pbone.net (good site for RPMs, BTW):
amarok-1.2.3-1.guru.suse92.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-gstreamer-1.2.3-1.guru.suse92.kde34.i686.rpm amarok-xine-1.2.3-1.guru.suse92.kde34.i686.rpm arts-1.4.0-8.i586.rpm faad2-2.0-0.pm.5.i686.rpm gstreamer-0.8.9-3.guru.suse92.i686.rpm gstreamer-plugins-0.8.8-1.guru.suse92.i686.rpm gstreamer-plugins-default-0.8.8-1.guru.suse92.i686.rpm lame-3.96.1-pm.1.i686.rpm lame-debuginfo-3.96.1-2.2.fc4.i386.rpm libvisual-0.2.0-1.guru.suse92.i686.rpm taglib-1.3.1-3.i586.rpm Hope this helps. -Chuck |
