Hi folks I\'m having a bit of trouble getting Amarok to play ogg vorbis files. It plays directly from CD without a problem but crashes straight away when playing any ogg vorbis track.

Amarok 1.2.4 using kde 3.3.1-2.12.FC3
Using the gstreamer engine

Running Fedora Core 3 with Gnome

I followed the directions in the faq for creating a backtrace and while running with gdb it actually plays the files instead of crashing. It doesn\'t sound very happy about it though

Lots of this, the application didn\'t crash while gdb was running though I\'m including the backtrace anyway just in case. I suspect it just shows that I closed the application.

Any help would be appreciated Amarok looks really good. All my musics ogg vorbis though so I\'m using xmms for the moment

Looks like your GStreamer is too old.
