Hello.
I\'m hoping someone can help me. I searched through the forums to try to find the answer, but have had no luck. I\'m running amaroK 1.2.4 on KDE 3.4 on SuSE Linux 9.2. I have 210 mp3 files with album tag \"Various Hits\" as they are individual songs from various CDs of which the rest of the album was of no interest. I also have some other compilation CDs with various artists. When I\'m in the collection browser, grouped by album, I right click to get the menu to selected \'unmark as collection\'. The list refreshes but when I re-group the collection by artist, the tunes are still under the \'Various Artists\' group. Can someone suggest what is going wrong? In other words the Mark and Unmark do not appear to make any changes to my collection. I\'ve read that some people like this grouping mechanism, but it doesn\'t really work for me. I actually like the \'all song\' list that Juk provides as this gives a complete list of all my songs which is helpful for making playlists. Sorry for the long post, but I\'m trying to give as much information as possible. I really like amaroK and would like to adopt it as my primary music manager, but this \'various artists\' grouping is making it very difficult for me to use. |

Do these 210 mp3\'s have correct artist tagging?

As far as I know.
amaroK displays the artist tag with the song title when the \"Various Artists\" branch is expanded. Does it make a difference if the tags are v1 or v2? I think they are all v2, but I\'m not 100% sure. |
