Amarok 1.3-beta nice but

Mon Jun 06, 2005 6:53 pm
I love amarok 1.3-beta1 you have added some really nice stuff to it.

However I am getting totally sick and tried of OLD BUGS NOT being fixed AT ALL.

Here is the bug report in kde http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102708
bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99570 was marked as a dup of 102708 and then there is http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96680 which seems to be related to all 3.
Total votes = 294
With 33 posts to all of the above 3 bugs.

While 99570 does not really seem related to my bug its been marked a dup of mine. Anyway to look at it there is a problem here.

I NEVER had issues with crossfade and fade in fade out before 1.2.2, now with 3 releases later I think its time someone saw about fixing this bug BEFORE we go adding more features.

I don\'t really want to keep posting bug reports about it, however if thats what its going to take to get this but noticed and maybe even fixed then so be it.

If you need someone to test code etc for a fix EMAIL ME, I would be more than happy to put sometime aside to test fixes etc using cvs and all that.

But PLEASE, do something!! before it starts to drop the quality of your great project.

I would like to remind about the bug with id3v2 tags - while using custom character encoding only id3v1 tags are read and the titles are cut after some characters if theyre too long. If i recall the discussion died on a statement of it being taglibs fault, but im sure a temporary workaround could be made...

On a sidenote - i believe theres something wrong with the new gentoo ebuild and postgresql use flag - i compiled amarok with postgre support and i can\'t seem to find it in configuration. Did anyone else encounter this problem?

PS. The UI seems faster and more responsive in this version. I also like the improvements to the gui here and there, and the new icon :)

Have you filed a bug report?? Or did you vote for a already running report?

If not now might be the time. Unless someone wants to post a patch. I have a look at the code, but my skills are not enough to fix.
We need to get this bug fixed.
