Hi guys, I\'ve been a rather ardent fan of amarok ever since they gave us a linux box at office...

We run suse 9.1 and I have kde 3.3.1. I use the arts engine and also the audioscrobbler interface...

I dont know when or why, but amarok keeps crashing, OFTEN. We dont have a proxy for net connection but instead a firewall for which we dont really have any particular settings, we just configure it as a \"direct connection\" and it works...

And these crashes are not new, its been there since my 1.2 days... and also when it does crash, if i keep clicking on the frozen screen for a while or if i use any of the shortcuts (to play/pause etc) my keyboard also goes for a toss and none of the keystrokes get through. Another thing is that very many times, the playing song continues to play till the end despite the crash and there is nothing i can do, but to kill amarok...

Also some of the times that amarok crashes, it prepares the mail on my kmail to be sent across, but then i use evolution and dont plan to use kmail, could you tell me how i could have this changed...?

Regarding the crashes, try upgrading the version of amarok you are running, if you are not using 1.2.4.

About the email, you need to change the preferences in kcontrol, the control centre, navigate to Component Chooser, and change the entry for email to the desired app.
