As gcc 4.0.0 is blacklisted, I\'ve installed compat-gcc-32 and compat-gcc-32-c++. Then I\'ve set CC and CXX to point to 3.2.3 versions. But unfortunately, there is a problem:

I to, am having the same problem.

I want to try the mysql back end with amarok, but KDE Redhat doesn\'t enable it in the rpm.

According to a post I read, Redhat/Fedora patched gcc RPM to get over KDE hurdle. How can we disable the
gcc is blacklisted... yes
check?

Thanks

OS
Install GCC 4.0.1

Another option would be requesting whoever packages amaroK to make mysql packages, as is done for Mandrake.
