I have installed Mandriva 2005LE, which comes with KDE3.3 and Amarok 1.2.24.
When you run it there is no SQLite, in fact it is impossible to build acoolection. I have been to your download site to get an updated copy and have encountered the following problems. If i install either of the 1.3.0 Beta copies using rpmdrake I get an error saying it can\'t be installed due toan \"unsatisfied amorak 1.3 engine\" If I try to install 2.4.1.101. I get an error saying I need libmysqlclient.so.12. I have been unable to obtain this clent from searching the web. In the wki MYSQL HOW TO, there is an error with reference to creating the dtabase the GRANT line should have \' around the user name eg TO \'amarok@localhost\' This looks to be great package, but it would be easier if it could be installed more easily by novice users who are just used to using GUI front ends |

Trying to install Amarok binaries for Mandriva LE 2005.
Keeps asking for the amarok engine 1.3. I triedn to pick up and install all available engines (streamer, xine, etc.) Does not work neither. What can I do? |

I somehow corrupted the 1.1 dist. that came with the Mandriva Official 10.1 download, so I uninstalled it and downloaded the rpm for 1.3. urpmi returned only one missing dependency (libtunepimp.so.2) but rpm returned eight. I cannot find libtunepimp online, nor can I install it from drakconf. Albert I\'d love to join you in your magnificent 21st century but could use help with the learning curve. What am I missing?
